The Old Schoolroom at a glance

• Sleeps 8 in four bedrooms: two doubles and two twins, with one double and one twin on each floor.
• Main farm location: overlooking fields towards Swansea Bay, with an enclosed rear garden.
• Living space: open-plan lounge and dining area, a separate kitchen and a sunroom with underfloor heating.
• Bathrooms: a downstairs wet room with shower, WC and basin, a separate downstairs WC, and an upstairs bathroom with a bath and shower over.
• Access: one entrance step. Two bedrooms and the wet room are downstairs; stairs lead to the other two bedrooms, both with sloping ceilings.

Please note: the woodburning stove is currently out of use and cannot be used during your stay.

“A really beautiful location and lovely house. The views are incredible & at night too. We even had a beautiful sunset one evening too. The beds were super comfortable with high quality linen, plenty of towels and the bathroom was modern & clean. The shower pressure was GREAT with lots of hot water. Kitchen had pretty much most things – great dining room table & chairs too. The host was so helpful and always there to chat to before hand. I would definitely stay here again”.

Discover the Charm of The Old Schoolroom. This family friendly holiday cottage features an open-plan dining room and lounge, providing a flexible space for relaxing and dining. The large table offers ample room for everyone to dine together, while the fully equipped kitchen makes meal preparation a breeze.

Enjoy Stunning Gower Sunrises and Sunsets. The sunroom extension, complete with cosy underfloor heating, is the perfect spot to admire the stunning vistas over farmland to Clyne Valley Country Park and Swansea Bay. Situated on the main courtyard, The Old Schoolroom is ideal for larger families or groups booking multiple Clyne Farm Cottages. The cottage offers a tranquil escape with breathtaking views of Gower where you can enjoy the most stunning Gower sunrises and sunsets.

We are very dog friendly. We also welcome other pets on request. There is a supplement of £5 per night per pet. We can take up to 4 pets per property. If you have more than 4 just get in touch and we will see what we can do.

Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Gower, all from the comfort of your cottage. You can sit with a cup of tea on the sofa and watch our horses & ponies come in from the field! The garden looks onto lush green farmland where you can watch sheep or cattle graze, depending on the time of the year. At night you can watch the lights of Swansea twinkle.

Layout and access

There is one step into The Old Schoolroom.
Downstairs: lounge and dining area, separate kitchen, sunroom, one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. There is a wet room with a shower, WC and basin, plus a separate WC with basin. The wet-room toilet has a grab rail.
Upstairs: one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a bathroom with a bath, shower over, WC and basin. Both upstairs bedrooms have sloping ceilings.

Explore the History of The Old Schoolroom

Before being converted the building was a calving barn. The windows facing the courtyard used to be doors where the cattle would come in and out. When the Haden family first opened Clyne Farm Centre in 1989 the barn was used for educational & craft sessions for visiting school groups. Hence the Schoolroom name!
