Amazing Balcony Views
Hayloft is an end of terrace barn in a unique location. The open plan living area opens up onto a green oak balcony with a panoramic view over fields, woodland and Swansea Bay. A lovely quiet spot for a morning coffee, the balcony was hand crafted from wood sourced from the Clyne Farm Estate.
This rustic cottage overlooks the main courtyard so is perfect for larger families or groups booking some of the other Clyne Cottages. For those wanting peace and quiet you will feel like you are completely away from it all, yet you are only a few minutes’ drive from the city of Swansea, Mumbles Village, and the beautiful Gower Peninsula.
To give more flexibility & options the cottage can interconnect with Stables Cottage next door to sleep 10. Stables Cottage in turn can interconnect with The Dairy to create one large unit sleeping 14 guests.
We are very dog friendly. We also welcome other pets on request. There is a supplement of £5 per night per pet. We can take up to 4 pets per property. If you have more than 4 just get in touch and we will see what we can do.
Are you a digital nomad? Or just want to add a few days of work on your holiday? We have free and fast Wi-Fi internet.
Activities Onsite: Horse riding, indoor archery, indoor climbing and Challenge Valley The Muddiest Assault Course in the World!
Mobility Note: The property is accessed from the 1st floor via the external wooden staircase onto the oak balcony.
Configuration: On 1st floor there is an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom, twin bedded room, separate WC, and a bathroom with bath, washbasin, WC, and over bath shower.
History: The building that houses The Dairy, Stables Cottage & Hayloft started life as two storeys, then became a single-storey with a single-pitch corrugated steel roof. It was used as a milking parlour with an additional lean-to dairy on the front corner by The Dairy. When the Haden family took over the farm they turned it from a single-storey derelict milking barn to a two-story accommodation block, named the Sleep Barn. Contained within were bunk rooms for visiting school & youth groups off 2 central corridors, one on each floor. In the late 90s, early 2000s the building was converted into three self-catering cottages. Hayloft used to overlook the old hay storage barn hence the name!
