Enjoy sunsets on the balcony
This end of terrace barn is ideal for a family with peaceful views over farm and woodland from its first floor green oak balcony. The balcony was hand crafted from wood sourced from the Clyne Farm Estate. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom, twin bedded room, separate WC, and a bathroom with bath, washbasin, WC, and over bath shower. The barn is accessed from the the 1st floor via an external staircase.
This rustic cottage overlooks the main courtyard so is perfect for larger families or groups booking some of the other Clyne Cottages. For those wanting peace and quiet you will feel like you are completely away from it all, yet you are only a few minutes’ drive from the city of Swansea, Mumbles Village, and the beautiful Gower Peninsula.
We are very dog friendly. We also welcome other pets on request. There is a supplement of £5 per night per pet. We can take up to 4 pets per property. If you have more than 4 just get in touch and we will see what we can do.
Are you a digital nomad? Or just want to add a few days of work on your holiday? We have free and fast Wi-Fi internet.
Activities onsite: Horse riding, indoor archery, indoor climbing and Challenge Valley The Muddiest Assault Course in the World!
Mobility Note: The property is accessed from the 1st floor via an external stone staircase.
History: The building that houses The Dairy, Stables Cottage & Hayloft started life as two storeys, then became a single-storey with a single-pitch corrugated steel roof. It was used as a milking parlour with an additional lean-to dairy on the front corner by The Dairy. When the Haden family took over the farm they turned it from a single-storey derelict milking barn to a two-story accommodation block, names the Sleep Barn. Contained within were bunk rooms for visiting school & youth groups off 2 central corridors, one on each floor. In the late 90s, early 2000s the building was converted into three self-catering cottages.
The cottage can interconnect with Stables Cottage next door to sleep 10. Stables Cottage in turn can interconnect with Hayloft to create one large unit sleeping 14 people.
