Colby Woodland Gardens are a beautiful destination for a day out. The wooded valley has plenty of walking routes and surprises to find! The grounds have an industrial past and are ideal for families, dogs and heritage hunters to explore. The gardens are easy to navigate and offer short or longer routes.
This National Trust site is just north of Amroth in Pembrokeshire (approx 1hr 20 mins from Clyne Farm Centre). It is dog friendly, has a cosy tea shop, with outdoor seating for those sunny days, a second-hand book shop, and a fantastic gallery supporting, showing and selling the works of local artists.
Just a five minute drive away is the seaside village of Amroth. It is very much worth visiting the front for a walk on the beach and to have some food and drink in the New Inn at the far end of the sea front stretch. Dog friendly and with cosy indoor seating and plenty of outdoor space, this is an ideal stop before heading home.
