Young authors gain muddy inspiration! The Dylan Thomas Prize - the world's biggest literary prize attracted some of the best young writers to Swansea for the prize ceremony in November 2008. The organisers chose Clyne Farm Centre as the Official Author's Residence where the six authors enjoyed a week in the Swansea Bay area before the big event. After a round of official functions their chosen activity was to tackle Challenge Valley - the muddiest assault course in the world!! As they didn't know at the time who had won there was no chance to sabotage anyone! Pictured are Nam Le - originally from Vietnam, who eventually won the Prize for his prowess on Challenge Valley and also as a writer! - Ceridwen Dovey from South Africa with her friend Bobby, north of England writers Ross Raisin and Edward Hogan.
