Eastern Valleys Housing Association's Day Out on the Beach!
A day out at the seaside? Who
wouldn't jump at the idea if the boss suggests it! What he forgot to
tell us was that we would be doing what he called teambuilding - a bit
of bonding - not to mention some sailing on the luxury yacht Euphoria, a
ride in a speedboat, some craft skills at Gower Heritage Centre and
those problems on Oxwich Bay all put together by the jovial staff (they
are the ones in the yellow gear).
If you are wondering what is
going on, we had to go around an obstacle course with most of us
blindfolded, solved some housing problems with blue and yellow planks and
- just for the day - pretended that we were part of the Irish giant ski
team.
If you'd asked most of us at the
start we would have said 'No way' but by the end it was great - we
conquered the sea, we conquered the land, we even built a few little
sandcastles but most of all - We Did It!
